Christ Lutheran Church is blessed to have many young families in its membership that bring gifts in a variety of ways.  As a faith community we are always seeking avenues to connect with the youth of our congregation and their families.

Those children in grades 2 through 6 have opportunities a few times a year to gather ecumenically in a FAYTH group with children from other churches in Cottonwood.  Adult leaders from St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Iglesia Apostolica Fe en Cristo Jesus, along with leaders from Christ Lutheran take turns at planning events for children in these elementary grade 2- 6.  It is a wonderful time to engage in Christian fellowship and a devotional time outside of the congregational Sunday worship setting.

SUMMER BIBLE CAMP REGISTRATION BEGINS FEBRUARY 14, 2010 AND WILL BE ONGOING OVER THE NEXT WEEKS AND MONTHS We want to give all youth the opportunity to go.  Financial support is available.             CAMPERS:   Be talking to friends and making plans to see what week works for you!   We received brochures from Green Lake and Shetek Lutheran Ministries and placed them on the cabinet by the sanctuary doors, ALONG WITH financial support information.  If you are going to another ELCA camp, let us know.  If any questions, please call the church office at 423-5100.

Our 7th, 8th and 9th grade students primarily meet together in confirmation classes, but through

that experience and learning, also have time of fellowship and service projects.

When children reach the high school years – from grades 9 through 12 – they may participate in Luther League activities that are coordinated between their elected peer officers and the adult advisors.  This group has met regularly throughout the year for fun and fellowship events.  They often work together coordinate the Sunrise Easter worship service.  Many of our high school students, over the years, have attended not only the ELCA National Youth Gathering held every 3 years, but also chosen to go on mission trips, and camping and canoeing trips together.
